    Event description

WoTL have partnered with researcher Dr Emily Buddle from the University of Adelaide to look at the underlying motivation behind why farmers farm. The aim is to find ways to support women in agriculture and influence the policy and development behind that. Dr Emily Buddle is a Research Fellow and farmer, running a mixed-farming business with her husband in the Mid North of South Australia.

Following the morning focus group, there will be a short workshop with Sally Murfet of Inspire Ag, where you will strengthen your skills to manage and lead teams in today's dynamic workplace effectively. This fun, interactive workshop offers practical strategies for building stronger team dynamics, promoting collaboration, and maximising team productivity. Sally works with Australian farmers (family and corporate) and farming organisations to help them optimise their business performance through the power of their people. With 25 years working on-farm or with agribusiness companies, she is an experienced consultant, facilitator, and speaker dedicated to developing teams that grow to their full potential and perform well together.

The day includes morning tea and lunch.

The full cost of this workshop is $250 which has been heavily reduced thanks to the support of event sponsors.

*Participants must be 18 years or older at the time of research. University of Adelaide consent forms will be provided on the day.

With funding by the Department of Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA), this is your opportunity to have your voice heard and be involved in a unique research opportunity. Participation in this research is entirely voluntary and confidential and is capped at 15 participants. This research has been approved by the University of Adelaide’s Human Research Ethics Committee, Approval number H-2023-051.
