Event description

Watch Australia's largest International Women's Day Breakfast - the Adelaide IWD Breakfast - on the big screen (with breakfast) at Wallis Cinema Mount Barker.

The Adelaide IWD Breakfast hosted by Senator Penny Wong sells out within minutes - and this is a great opportunity to participate in the event without leaving the Adelaide Hills.

The Guest Speaker for this year’s event is Rachel Perkins.

Rachel Perkins is an Arrernte and Kalkadoon woman with Irish and German settler heritage. She is a celebrated filmmaker with a career spanning 30 years. She has directed acclaimed works like First Australians, The Australian Wars, Redfern Now, Mystery Road, Total Control, Bran Nue Dae, Jasper Jones and most recently The Australian Wars. Rachel’s work seeks to inspire future generations while amplifying First Nations voices and histories to unite Australians.

Gather your colleagues before work, or start your day in Mount Barker on the long weekend.

This event is raising funds for UN Women Australia and the Ruby Hunter Foundation.

First Nations people are not required to pay for a ticket. Please contact 0433 457 960 for access code and ticketing assistance.
