Mount Gambier Science Fair 25 August 9.30am - 12.30pm

Event description

The Science Collective returns to the Showground Halls in Mount Gambier on Sunday 25th August for a National Science Week Science Fair with some brand new attractions and plenty of your favourite activities of previous fairs.  There will be two three-hour sessions on the day (9.30am-12.30pm and 1.00pm-4.00pm) and each session will have amazing science shows, engaging displays and plenty of hands-on activities to keep young family members busy for the entire session.

The event this year has been made possible thanks to a major sponsorship from OneFortyOne and support from the City of Mount Gambier.

We welcome Australian Bush Buddies to a Mount Gambier Science Fair for the first time with their fascinating range of wildlife; SciWorld will be presenting their amazing Liquid Nitrogen Show; and crowd favourite SciFiBri has some new tricks in his Fire & Froth Show.  SciWorld's huge inflatable planetarium will take you on a journey through the night sky and the shows and attractions will be complemented by a day of hands-on science fun with slime, an electric circuit activity and several new engineering challenges.

Hungry or thirsty?  No problems.  There will be the Spud Train food van and a coffee van on site.

We know that with costs rising in many areas a day out with the family needs to be affordable.  So with the help of our sponsors, we have kept ticket prices as low as possible with a family ticket available for just $32 (2 + 2 or 1 + 3) and all adults at the children's price of just $10.
