FITNESS HIKER - Event Leader - Taryn - This walk will be BRISK (trust me)

A fitness hiker enjoys walking with purpose, maintaining a moderate to brisk pace throughout the hike. These hikes, ranging from 10-20 kilometres, are focused on building endurance and challenging the body, often leaving you a little sweaty by the end. Your heart rate will increase!!!

Expect a mix of terrain, including sand, inclines, and steps, designed to keep your heart rate up and maximise calorie burning.

While the pace is faster and breaks are fewer, there’s still time to pause, catch your breath, take in the surroundings, and capture the moment with a photo or two. Fitness hikers value the balance between intensity and enjoyment, pushing their limits while connecting with others who share the same goals of staying fit and active in the outdoors. These hikes are perfect for those who want to elevate their fitness and enjoy the challenge of more demanding trails.

🌊 Brisk Pace Bay Trail Fitness Walk – Mt Martha to Mornington
🗓 Saturday | 🕗 8:00am Start | 📏 11km | 🚶‍♀️ One-Way Walk

Let’s power into the weekend with purpose, pace, and coastal beauty.

Join us for a brisk pace fitness walk from Mt Martha to Mornington, covering 11km along the stunning Bay Trail. With sweeping ocean views, boardwalks, hidden beach tracks, and the iconic Beleura Cliff Top Walk to finish....this is one of the Peninsula’s most energising routes.

This is a one-way hike, and we’ll need five volunteers to help with carpooling. We’ll meet at the finish point in Mornington, leave five cars there, and I’ll shuttle everyone to the start in Mt Martha so we can walk back together.

- Beach walking Approx 2km's)

- Some inclines

- Toilet at the beginning and halfway

- 9-12 minute kilometres

Please arrive on time as we’ll be leaving Mornington at 8am sharp to drive to the start.

- Runners are perfect for this walk. No open toe shoes or thongs.

- Compact lightweight jacket

This walk is NOT suitable for children (18+), babies in carriers or for people who do not walk more than 5km’s at a time.
