About This Session

Are you experiencing the loss of a loved one, approaching a Yahrzeit, or navigating other significant losses—whether personal or communal? Join JSP Facilitator, Jeanne Reisman for the Mourner’s Studio, a transformative 2-hour workshop designed to explore loss and healing through the Jewish Studio Process, a unique methodology combining practices from the field of art therapy with a reimagined approach to Jewish learning and spirituality.

  • No prior experience in art-making or text study is necessary.
  • Space is limited to 18 participants to ensure an intimate and supportive environment.

Facilitated by Jeanne Reisman

Jeanne Reisman is a Jewish Studio Project (JSP) facilitator, with an interest in utilizing the Jewish Studio Process for those experiencing grief and loss. She is an artist exploring mixed media, collage, stitching and fiber. She is also a grandmother and retired primary care physician.

This session is co-sponsored by Congregation Netivot Shalom.

A Note About Fees:

The participation fee for this series is sliding scale $0-$36. Our goal is to never turn anyone away for lack of funds so please choose the price from our sliding scale that best meets your needs. If you you need additional assistance beyond what is listed please contact Candace Goodwin at cgoodwin@jewishstudioproject.org.

COVID Policy:
Masks are optional and extras will be available at the studio. If you are symptomatic or not feeling well, please stay home and we will see you next time.

A note about Studio accessibility:
There are three steps into the building and the bathroom is not ADA. During art-making time, we will hang up paper on the wall so those who want to can stand to make art; we will also set up places to sit during art-making time if that is more comfortable for you. In the studio, there is a couch for anyone to use at anytime.

Refund Policy:
Refunds are available up to one day before the program starts.
