    Event description

    Dear Community,

You are warmly invited to join our upcoming Mourning and Celebration Circle—an intimate gathering where we will come together, in-person, to share our joys and sorrows, guided by practices from Ongo: Everyday Nonviolence. (Catherine Cadden and Jesse Wiens Chu)

Date and Time: Monday 29th January 2024 7:00-8:30pm AEDT

    Location: Emerald Beach, NSW

Guided Practices: During this circle, we will engage in guided practices from Ongo: Everyday Nonviolence to create a safe and supportive space for sharing our mournings and celebrations. Whether you are mourning the loss of a loved one, facing a life transition, or feeling deep concern for the world around us, your presence is valuable.

Why Mourn Together? Mourning is a powerful yet often overlooked aspect of our lives. Shared mourning can be profoundly healing, forming the foundation of a strong and empathic community. As Francis Weller beautifully puts it, "We need to recover our right to ask for help in grief, otherwise it will continue to recycle perpetually. Grief has never been private; it has always been communal."

Celebration as Connection: In addition to mourning, we will also take time to celebrate. Whether it's a major milestone or a simple expression of gratitude, every joy is worth acknowledging and sharing.

Who Can Join: Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you are familiar with Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Your presence and experiences are what make our circle diverse and meaningful.

Your Host: I will be hosting the session, guiding the group in a safe and loving manner. Upon securing your ticket, check your inbox for an email containing essential meeting information.

Let's create a space where our joys and sorrows can be embraced collectively, fostering connection, understanding, and healing

Date and time: Monday 29th January, 7:00-8.30 pm

Location: Emerald Beach, NSW. (Address provided upon registration)

Financial Considerations: You are welcome to come for free and make a contribution if you are financially able ... and if it brings you joy. This will help to keep the work sustainable for all. Thank you..

Testimonial from Helena in Portugal after attending an online Mourning and Celebration Circle.

"Wendy guided us through the whole experience with care and reassurance, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt so safe and held in a virtual space, nor physical space, for that matter. Wendy’s soothing presence was crucial for everyone to feel comfortable with sharing, knowing they wouldn’t be judged or receive unsolicited advice, which happens a lot when opening up during these hard times. Her wonderful facilitating skills made every moment of silence, every collective breath, every remark appear right when it was needed."

I hope you will join me. If you have any questions please email.

    Much love, many blessings,

    Wendy
