PAUSE

Pause is an alive and receptive state where our larger outer physical movements cease and we can become aware of subtler physical, emotional, mind, or soul states. Pause practice opens us to notice, feel and sense. We can witness something in a more vast realm or perhaps a very particular sensation. This noticing can bring awareness of something unfolding inside of us or outside. When we pause we bring our full attention to the moment, to breath, to sensing and feeling. It is different than a stop. To stop infers to end or cut something off. In pause we simply quiet our movement so we can turn our attention to energy and vibration.

A time to move, a time to free the body, to enliven the senses as well as listen to them. This is sacred dance time, where you get to be with yourself and the dance that no one else can do, where movement heals and reveals, breath comes and goes and the spirit rejoices.

Each week we follow the Open Floor Movement Practice but are not limited by it so we may try other tools to get us into a vibrant, juicy dance. The dance may be on your own or with others or all together with the whole room in a pumping, jumping frenzy! Though this is not ecstatic dance, there surely will be moments of ecstasy and if you are open and willing to try the subtle dance of inquiry then each moment can become ecstasy.

Dance how ever you wish, we'll guide you to begin with an exercise or two based on the evening's intention then feel free to explore this further in your own way and how ever it turns up for you.

We dance mid week because we love it, we dance for release, healing, pleasure and grounding but most of all because it reminds us of who we really are, and that can not be written or drawn, it is felt.

Door open 6:15pm, this is precious warm up time, lovely music will help you settle into the space.

Doors close at 6:30 no entry after then, guidance begins with the evenings movement resource.
