GROUND.

The quality of being grounded, in the midst of change to have a real sense of ourselves, so we don’t get manipulated or confused. When we feel our weight and substance and our connection to earth. It is a skill that supports us to be present. It is the movement of energy downward in the body that can settle us when we’re in balance or over-activated physically, emotionally, mentally. Moving towards ground supports our sense of safety in our bodies and in the world.

A time to move, a time to free the body, to enliven the senses as well as listen to them. This is sacred dance time, where you get to be with yourself and the dance that no one else can do, where movement heals and reveals, breath comes and goes and the spirit rejoices.

Each week we follow the Open Floor Movement Practice but are not limited by it so we may try other tools to get us into a vibrant, juicy dance. The dance may be on your own or with others or all together with the whole room in a pumping, jumping frenzy! Though this is not ecstatic dance, there surely will be moments of ecstasy and if you are open and willing to try the subtle dance of inquiry then each moment can become ecstasy.

Dance how ever you wish, we'll guide you to begin with an exercise or two based on the evening's intention then feel free to explore this further in your own way and how ever it turns up for you.

We dance mid week because we love it, we dance for release, healing, pleasure and grounding but most of all because it reminds us of who we really are, and that can not be written or drawn, it is felt.

Door open 6:15pm, this is precious warm up time, lovely music will help you settle into the space.

Doors close at 6:30 no entry after then, guidance begins with the evenings movement resource.

NEW TO DANCING DHEVAS...

Dancing Dhevas is a free form practice that invites you to engage in life as only you can, to move with such authenticity that it liberates the bubbles of ecstasy.

Conscious Dance is a process of delving into your own individual, original dance, it is so unique to you and how you move that it can not be reproduced by anyone else. This gives us the freedom from constraints and judgements so we can explode our potential to move until it unleashes the dancer within. The room takes on a different energy as everyone drops into their dance and natural ecstasy is reached.

Come as you are or bring a friend, we share a dance floor of like minded souls who move as one and celebrate life in all its complexities in one moment.

Strictly Alcohol free, drug free and smoke free class, be clear, be here now.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone under the influence of an intoxicant.

No mobile phones, no photography, no Shazam, turn up, be present this is an embodiment class, a practice that can touch the heart and soul.

No shoes or talking on the dance floor.

This event is not suitable for kids, (18+)
