Movember Presents - The Big Swing for Men's Health

Event description

Tee off Men's Health Week with Movember

You are invited to join us for a life-saving charity golf tournament, supporting positive mental and physical health practices for men. Since 2003, Movember has built a global men’s health movement, funding more than 1,300 projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men. Movember has taken on three of the biggest health issues affecting men: mental health and suicide, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

To celebrate Men's Health Week and Father's Day, we're welcoming people from across the U.S. to join together at Brookside Golf Course in sunny Pasadena, California for a fun-filled and impact driven day.

Your funding of the inaugural Movember golf tournament will help get our NIL program off the ground and ultimately create healthier masculinities within sport. Program Info:

Mental Health Literacy training for NIL athletes: The NCAA, the governing body for collegiate athletics in the US, recently updated their guidelines for how college athletes can profit from their own Name, Image and Likeness (NIL). As part of these changes, the NCAA is enforcing athletic departments to provide mental health resources, starting on August 2024. To support athletes and universities in this new landscape, Movember has partnered with OpenDorse, the leading agency that offers support to over 100,000 collegiate and high school NIL athletes. As part of this partnership, Movember is codeveloping a mental health literacy training program that will be featured on OpenDorse’s online educational platform.

Movember uses imagery and stories from our community to grow awareness of the work we do to Change the Face of Men’s Health. This means that during this event Movember will be recording videos, sounds and photographs. By attending, you consent to being photographed, filmed and otherwise recorded in content that will be used by Movember at our discretion. We will manage this content in accordance with our Privacy Policy which also contains information about how you can contact us.
