WHO IS IT FOR?

Designed with men in mind but valuable for all people, Movember SpeakEasy workshops build skills that foster better social connection, helping friends and family to support each other.

POWERFUL CONVERSATIONS

When we say SpeakEasy, what we mean is to be more open, so that you build stronger relationships with the people you care about.

It really helps to be the person to ‘go there’ first. Going there is the key to getting more open, and powerful conversations started. And when someone opens up and shares something with you, just ‘stay there’ with them. Acknowledging what they said and asking questions. Then they feel heard and you’ll feel connected in a much bigger way.

WHAT DO THE WORKSHOPS DELIVER?

The objectives of Movember SpeakEasy are to:

Normalise challenges: Educate people of the frequency of life’s challenges, to increase knowledge, awareness and acceptance of what they or those around them might be going through.

Encourage help-seeking: Change attitudes and willingness to reach out, share and support.

Build capacity: Arm attendees with the tools to more effectively support their friends, family and community as well as increase their social connections, confidence and willingness to talk, especially when times are tough.
