Movement Explorations - "Listening"

**Please note that this isn't an InterPlay workshop.

Join me for an evening of inquiry and discovery through movement. In this workshop, we’ll explore how we move through the world — and what happens when we slow down to truly listen.

Together, we’ll take a curious look at what it means to listen: to ourselves, to one another, to space, and to the quieter, less obvious signals that shape our experience. Listening not only with our ears, but with our eyes, our skin, and our felt sense of inner connection.

Through a series of practices inspired by the Alexander Technique, Somatic Dialogue, and contemporary movement approaches, we’ll begin to notice our habitual patterns, the rhythms of our bodies, and the gestures we often overlook. You’ll have the chance to work individually, in pairs, and as witnesses for one another — cultivating deeper listening both inwardly and outwardly.

This session isn’t about perfecting movement or achieving aesthetic shapes. It’s about developing a more conscious, responsive relationship with your body-mind, and gently opening space for new possibilities.

Whether you’re experienced in movement practices or stepping in for the very first time, you’re warmly invited.

About the facilitator:

Pemra is an Alexander Technique Teacher and certified InterPlay leader who creates spaces for people to connect deeply with themselves and others through movement, storytelling, and song. Drawn to the complexities of human experience and the unity of body and mind, she invites participants to explore the transformative potential of embodiment, art, play, and community in a safe, welcoming environment.

Her workshops — informed by the Alexander Technique, Somatic Dialogue, Contact Dance, and other contemporary movement practices — offer pathways into self-discovery, movement exploration, and healthier movement patterns. Through Alexander Technique lessons, Pemra supports individuals in easing chronic pain, refining performance, and cultivating a more integrated, responsive relationship with their bodies.atterns.
