A towering city. A divided society. A machine built in a human image.

Experience Fritz Lang’s Metropolis (1927), a landmark of silent cinema whose vision of the future still feels strikingly relevant.

Above ground, the privileged live in luxury. Below, workers keep the city running. When the city ruler’s son discovers the world beneath his feet, he becomes caught in a struggle involving forbidden love, rebellion, and a scientist’s extraordinary creation.

With monumental sets and unforgettable imagery, Metropolis explores power, inequality, technology, and what makes us human.

Join us in Culture Lab’s Theatre to discover, or revisit, this extraordinary film on the big screen.

Film starts promptly at 7:30 PM.

Seating is limited. RSVP is strongly recommended, as guests without an RSVP may not be guaranteed a seat.
