Wellington B Corp Month Panel: Moving systems change forward
Event description
What is systems change, and how do we use business and B Corp to address global challenges & address the root causes?Â
For B Corp Month, B Local Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington are bringing together a panel to discuss the importance of systems change and how B Corporations, big and small, are an important part of this.Â
What is Systems Change?Â
Systems change refers to the process of fundamentally altering or transforming the underlying structures, rules, and dynamics of a complex system in order to achieve desired outcomes, typically related to sustainability, social justice, or improved functioning. Systems change goes beyond addressing surface-level issues or symptoms; instead, it aims to tackle the root causes and dynamics that perpetuate problems within a system.
B Corps have already taken the first steps towards systemic change; it’s all about how we continue to drive change and catalyse the changes we have made. Most importantly, sharing how they have done it so that other businesses can follow suit, helping to make widespread change.
