North Head Sanctuary is one of Sydney’s most remarkable heritage and natural landscapes, located at the entrance to Sydney Harbour in Manly. North Head played an important role in Australia’s defence, quarantine, and military operations, with many of its historic buildings and fortifications still preserved today. Today’s concert venue, known as the Artillery Shed, was originally used as a machinery storage facility during the 20th century. Managed by the Harbour Trust, North Head Sanctuary is now a vibrant destination where visitors can explore breathtaking coastal views, bushland walking tracks, heritage sites, and unique wildlife habitats.

Want to learn about North Head Sanctuary? The Harbour Trust offers guided tours that uncover the site’s rich Aboriginal, military, and quarantine history.
