    Gain valuable insights on best practices for utilizing AI responsibly. Learn the key questions to ask yourself as a litmus test before implementing AI solutions. Discover strategies to protect yourself, including the use of GAITs, and understand the risk-to-benefit ratio. This part is crucial for anyone looking to leverage AI effectively and safely.

    This session is presented by Dr. Ines Hipolito who stands at the forefront of the philosophy of mind and cognitive science of AI. Renowned for her insights into fundamental questions surrounding agency and intelligence, Dr. Hipolito is an Assistant Professor at Macquarie University and serving as a researcher at the Macquarie Ethics and Agency Research Centre. With a solid foundation in academia, Dr. Hipolito's interdisciplinary approach allows her to bridge the gap between different sectors, fostering meaningful dialogues and collaborations that address complex societal challenges in the AI era. Notably, Dr. Hipolito co-founded the International Society for the Philosophy of the Sciences of the Mind, demonstrating her commitment to advancing the field and fostering scholarly exchange. Additionally, as the founder and CEO of MissionAI, a start-up supported by Macquarie Incubator, and her ethics advisory role at VERSES, a Los Angeles-based cognitive computing company, she leads initiatives aimed at promoting ethical AI cultures and responsible implementation practices.
