Event description

AFL NINES
Ever wanted to play AFL without the stress of getting injured, AFL NINES is the program you’ve been waiting for! Come and trial this program at the Muchea Recreation Centre open day!

AFL Nines is a fast, free-flowing game that involves 9 players on each team playing on a smaller field. Best of all, it's 'touch football' with no tackling or bumping, making it suitable for people of any age or skill level.

"The Game for Everyone" emphasises inclusive competition that is accessible to individuals of all abilities. Nines has strong parallels with the traditional game but is easier to play and provides an environment whereby participation, enjoyment and safety are the priority.

The Nines Program is a safe and inclusive game environment. All Abilities and genders are encouraged to play.

SUPERKICK

Come down and trial another amazing WAFC Program at the Muchea Recreation Centre open day: AFL Superkick!

AFL Superkick is a modified version of AFL that focuses on skill development for anyone aged between 8-12 wanting to get a feel for footy without the pressure. Try out Superkick and level up your footy with training and games all in the one session! Sessions run either at a local footy club or after school. With no additional training and limited (or no) travel, parents feel less pressure on having their kids involved with this program. It's all about learning Australian Rules footy, but without the tackling. Teams range from 5-9 per side, so primary schoolers feel safe learning footy, and can build their confidence for the game while still having fun.
