MRKH Australia is very excited to be holding our annual conference on Saturday 24 June 2023. The day will include a range of speakers on issues that the MRKH community told us they wanted to hear about. There will also be plenty of opportunities to connect with others and ask lots of questions.

Prue Craven

You may have seen Prue @makingroomforawomb in the media or online recently as one of the first people in Australia to receive a Uterus Transplant. Prue is a Paediatric Nurse who was diagnosed with MRKH at 17 years old. For the past 10 years, her and her husband have been trying to conceive through multiple rounds of IVF and Surrogacy.

In March 2023, Prue went through a life changing process and was the recipient of a uterus transplant from a live donor.

We are delighted that Prue will be joining us to talk about her incredible story.

Dr Tracy Foran

Dr Tracy Foran is a Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology Fellow working at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne and spends her days working with young people to help them understand their bodies and respect (and feel empowered by!) their differences.

Tracy is eager to share her knowledge and learn from you all and can’t wait to hear your stories.

Dr Linda Kirkman

Sexual wellbeing is a significant issue for women with MRKH so we have invited Dr Linda Kirkman is a sexologist and independent scholar to attend. Her work covers communication skills, sexuality, gender, pleasure, sexual health and relationships across the lifespan, and is diversity-and-sex-positive.

Linda has been a sexuality educator and counsellor for over 30 years. Her work is grounded in psychological safety while being strengths-based, inclusive, and drawing on current evidence.

This event is FREE and open to anyone with MRKH as well as their family and friends

There is some street parking near the venue and multiple parking garages including Wilson Parking nearby.

Will there be food?

A light lunch will be provided. So please let us know if you have any dietary requirements when you register.
