Event Panelists:

Ms Shangitha Rajendran, CFA - Investment Specialist - Portfolio Construction & Risk, HESTA

With more than 20 years’ experience in the financial sector, Ms Shangitha Rajendran is no stranger to the ups and downs of the financial market. Currenty Ms Shangitha Rajendran holds the position of an Investment Specialist in Portfolio Construction & Risk at HESTA (since October 2023). Prior to this, Ms Rajendran served as a Portfolio Manager at Blue Orbit Asset Management and worked at Vanguard Australia for nearly 13 years in various roles, including Active Equity Portfolio Manager and Equity Trader. Ms Rajendran expertise spans portfolio management, equity trading, and ETF investment strategy.

Ms Yu Li, FRM - Deputy Portfolio Manager, Blackmore Capital

Ms Yu Li is currently a Deputy Portfolio Manager at Blackmore Capital, where she previously served as an an Equity Research Analyst for three years. Ms Yu Li has also held roles at Activus Investment Advisors as an Investment Associate, focusing on multi-asset portfolio management, and as a Research Assistant at Monash University, specialising in commodity currencies. Ms Yu Li’s education includes First Class Honors in Econometrics and a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University, where he also worked as a Teaching Associate in Econometrics.

Ms Yu Li is also currently MSMF’s Investment Analyst Program (IAP) mentor, and has held this postion in MSMF for more than 2 years.

Ms Nicky Sun - Investment Analyst, Munro Partners

Ms Nicky Sun is currently an Investment Analyst at Munro Partners (since May 2024). Prior to this, Ms Sun has worked for three years at the Australian Foundation Investment Company (AFIC) in the same role. Her career is focused on investment analysis, contributing to both portfolio management and equity research giving students a unique insight into her experience to students looking to break into the financial sector.

Nicky is MSMF’s honorary Investment Analyst Program (IAP) mentor on rotation, and has held this position in MSMF for more than 2 years.
