When your child is in hospital, speaking up can sometimes feel intimidating, especially when you're feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or like no one is listening. But your instincts are powerful, and you deserve to feel confident that your concerns will be taken seriously.

We’ll be joined by Paul Hudson and Paul Hunstead, together they’ll introduce you to REACH, a program developed by the NSW Clinical Excellence Commission that empowers families to speak up and partner with hospital staff when they’re concerned about their child’s health. It provides a clear, supportive pathway for parents and carers to raise concerns and get the right help, at the right time.

Paul Hunstead is an experienced paediatric emergency nurse and Improvement Lead for the Paediatric Safety Program at the Clinical Excellence Commission, working to strengthen safety and outcomes for children in healthcare.

Paul Hudson is a highly skilled emergency nurse and is the Principal Lead of the Patient Safety Improvement Programs at the Clinical Excellence Commission. For over 15 years Paul has worked in the area of recognition and management of deteriorating patients for over 15 years.

Parents and carers of children with disability, complex medical needs, chronic health conditions, or frequent hospital admissions

This webinar is a welcoming space designed for parents and caregivers to listen, learn, and leave with practical tools and skills.

Led by experienced peer facilitator Pam, who shares her lived experience, insight, and compassionate perspective to support other parents.

The webinar will be recorded, giving you the flexibility to watch live or at your convenience.

If you can’t attend live, a recording will be emailed to all registrants within 7 days of the event.
