Paediatric palliative care is often confused with end-of-life support but it’s about much more, offering quality of life and family-centered support for children with serious medical conditions and their families, at every stage of their journey. We'll be joined by Annette Vickery, from Palliative Care Australia, to guide us through what palliative care looks like in practice, how it can complement your child’s care team, and what support might be available now or in the future.

More about the speaker
Annette Vickery is a passionate Project Manager with over 15 years’ experience supporting families, including five years leading paediatric palliative care projects at Palliative Care Australia. She’s helped shape national policy, co-designed resources with families, and played a key role in developing Australia’s first Paediatric Palliative Care Action Plan. Annette is committed to ensuring parents and carers feel heard, supported, and valued—especially during life’s most challenging times
