Mt Kenya School Fundraiser
Event description
Save the Children estimate that about 26% of children in Kenya today are living with stunted growth due to malnutrition. Unreliable rains, degraded soils and smaller and smaller allotments make it increasingly difficult for subsistence farmers in the Laikipia district to feed their families.
The Mt Kenya School Feeding Program has been feeding young children in the Laikipia district of Kenya for the past twelve years. This simple program provides a nutritious cup of porridge to 250 children every schoolday at the Kihato Primary school, and the two associated Kinders.
We are entirely volunteer run, and rely on our friends and donors to continue this much appreciated program.
