Mt Lofty Music Club Present: Monsieur Swing

Monsieur Swing are a quartet playing Gypsy Jazz (a la Django Reinhardt/ Stephane Grappelli). Their lineup is double bass, 2 French gypsy guitars and violin. Performing since 2012, the band has been evolving towards an acoustic, low volume 'chamber music' like ethos in the last year or so, featuring subtle band textures and delightful polyphonic arrangements.
