MUC presents is a new concept for a community use of our wonderful new Manningham Uniting Church auditorium. It proposes a musical concert series of events – vocal, instrumental, and choral through different genres of music - from classical to popular on a weekend afternoon, spread across the year.
The aim is to provide quality musical entertainment to the community at a reasonable cost.

Our first concert will be held on December 18th and it is a Christmas Celebration featuring the wonderful voices of Chime choir under the director Jenny Mathers.
It will feature Christmas carols and songs traditional and modern by the choir and you will be invited to singalong with some of the well known pieces also. So bring your best voices!
A give-up-your-diet afternoon tea is included pending Covid Regulations. This will be a fully vaccinated event

A little bit about Chime choir.
Chime Choir was founded in 1984 and has blossomed into a renowned Melbourne choir. It presents concerts each year as well as singing for festivals, special events, weddings and funerals.It has toured America, England, Italy and Austria and competed in several international choral competitions. In 2018 our choristers had a once in a lifetime opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York singing compositions by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo.

The choir’s diverse membership is united by the desire to sing choral music that speaks to the heart and mind, exploring the world - past, present and emerging. It is committed to creating a community where people have the opportunity to sing music that challenges and delights.
Chime choir is led by Jenny Mathers who brings professionalism, enthusiasm and vision to the choir.
