Muchea Recreation Centre Winter Sports Open Day
Event description
Muchea Recreation Open Day is an opportunity to test your skills or try out a new sport without the pressure this April school holidays.
Chittering Junior Football Club will run the first session from 9am to 10am which will consist of leveling up your skills and mini games of footy. It's all about learning Australian Rules footy, but without the tackling. The session is designed for primary schoolers to feel safe learning footy and can build their confidence for the game while still having fun.
Immaculate Heart College Netball will coach a session from 1015am to 1115am that will take you through a warmup, netball skill development and finish with a mini game.
Tiny Totts Tennis Session will run 30 minutes sessions from 9am to 1145am using mini nets, low compression balls, hoops, footwork ladders and cones to promote coordination and fast movement. The use of this equipment will increase your child's ability to control the ball and racquet. The modified equipment will enable children as young as 3 to develop their skills in a fun and safe environment. This enables them to develop their skills and excel in a fun and safe environment which encourages a positive attitude to sport and physical activity that will last a lifetime.
