Serious incident report training

Do you want to learn more about when to report serious incidents to the Charity Commission?

Time to get serious about reporting…

With the potential consequences of failing to disclose serious incidents to the Charity Commission being so severe (think reputational damage, formal warnings or even disqualification), it's critical to know when to submit a serious incident report.

Incidents such as fraud, governance or operational failure and safeguarding issues must be reported in accordance with Charity Commission guidance, so getting your reporting right is non-negotiable…

On Tuesday, 9 June, partners in our charities team, Samantha Pritchard and Alison Jones, invite you to join our latest training session in Newcastle.

In this expert-led presentation, you'll learn when to submit a serious incident report for your charity.

What's in store…

Sam and Alison will provide their practical tips for identifying and accurately reporting a serious incident, as well as valuable insights into the Charity Commission's requirements and expectations. They will be joined by a trustee who will share their first-hand experience of reporting an incident and the impact on them and their board.

Chatham House rules will apply to discussions.

We'll cover...

·         How to identify whether an incident is serious enough to report

·         The process for submitting a serious incident form

·         How the Charity Commission can respond and its new legal powers

·         Q&A and networking
