The 5th production by Utopia For Losers:
MUD by María Irene Fornés.
A play in 17 scenes. By educating herself, Mae seeks to escape the dirty, base and unrespectable life she has been living with Lloyd. She befriends Henry, who offers to show her a better life, and welcomes him into their home. Chaos ensues between the three housemates, as Mae fights to hold onto the hope of freedom for which she has fought.
Content Warnings: Profanity, discussion of sexual acts, simulation of a sexual act, gun violence, discussion of bestiality, misogyny.

Venue Directions
The entrance to the building is through the single door on the south side of 54th St. between 8th & 9th Avenues, at the top of the stone steps. (The entrance is adjacent to Midtown Community Court & Police Precinct.)
Follow the hallway straight down until reaching the elevator. Take the elevator up to the 4th floor. Upon exiting, the entrance to the Sargent Theatre lobby will be directly ahead.
**HEALTH & SAFETY at the ATA:
Late seating may be problematic. Please arrive 15-30 minutes in advance of showtime.
ADA Access: Call 24 hours in advance for all wheelchair access. Please have an assistant if you are in a manual wheelchair to get over the front entryway steps. Electric wheelchairs must use our 53rd street entrance and we need to plan ahead with you. Call 917-773-2933 and leave a message. Only 1 wheelchair spot is available per performance.
Masks in the theatre are optional until further notice.
If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have been exposed to anyone within 14 days of your visit, or have been instructed to self-isolate, we ask that you stay home and contact the ticket site (or producer of the show) to discuss a ticket refund or exchange.
Ticket purchasers are responsible for informing and providing this information if they are providing the ticket for a guest. Anyone that does not abide by our protocols may be denied entry to our facility.
