MUEEC and CISSA are collaborating to bring you a never-before-seen TWO WEEK marathon hackathon from Monday 20th July - Sunday 2nd August.

Build your most ambitious electronics project yet! 👾

Tech is not just a tool, and DIY hardware can be just as creative as it is useful. Make your projects a form of art and self-expression. 🖼️ 

Think cyberdecks, wearable electronics, creative gadgets, and interactive art. 🖲️

HardWired is open to university students of ALL SKILL LEVELS!

First timer? 🍼Don’t stress!

We will be running 3 in-person workshops Tue 21st - Thu 23rd July to get you up to speed. You’ll also get written guides to browse in your own time.

Busy with commitments? No worries! You can work on your projects anytime over the two weeks, as long as you’re able to present on the final day.

Competitors will gain access to The Creator Space (TCS), and be able to use soldering equipment, laser cutters, 3D printers, and other prototyping tools to build a working hardware prototype. 📟

$15 for entry ticket 

$25 for ESP32 Kit

Note: All team members must purchase an entry ticket, and register as a team. Only one team member needs to buy the microcontroller add-on (unless you would like more than one microcontroller).

ELIGILITY

• All current university students are welcome to compete. However, only University of Melbourne students who have completed the appropriate trainings will be able to access The Creator Space for prototyping and workshops.

• All contestants must be over the age of 17.

• Teams must comprise 3–5 people. Only teams with AT LEAST ONE University of Melbourne member are eligible to win prizes.

• Teams with fewer than the required number will be asked to merge. HardWired organisers reserve the right to relax this restriction at our discretion.
