Event description

Step into the story of Mugga Mugga Cottage – an 1850’s worker’s cottage that was part of the colonial Duntroon Estate. With the establishment of the new Federal Capital in Canberra, the Curley family moved into the Cottage in 1913. The intact domestic collection reflects the family’s history over seven decades and their ‘make-do’ attitude. Surrounded by native temperate grasslands, this property reflects the working class story and the changing landscape of Canberra.
