Mulled Wine and Hot Cheese Shindig

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join us at historic Twamley Farm near Buckland for an afternoon shindig under the oak trees. Nothing beats the chill of early spring in Tassie better than mugs of warm mulled wine and melty hot cheese snacks by the fire. Gert from Gert & Ted will be creating a range of delicious hot cheese snacks featuring Bream Creek Dairy cheeses. Bream Creek Dairy is located just over the hills and down the road from Twamley Farm. Enjoy the cheesy deliciousness whilst taking in expansive views of Prosser Plains and listening to some traditional Irish folk music from 'Oh My Gaelic', with beautiful melodies and lively beats.

'Oh My Gaelic' is a trio of Tasmanian musicians who regularly play Irish Traditional music, and contemporary Trad inspired music, around Tasmania and Australia. They have an eclectic mix of old and new tunes and bring energy to them with the fiddle, Irish flute, whistle, Bodhrán, guitar and voice.

The team from Bream Creek Dairy will also be at the shindig providing tastings and sales of their Stroud wines.

Drop by the farm anytime from 1pm to 4.30pm for a classic spicy mulled wine accompanied by a range of hot cheesy nibbles like cheesy jalapeños poppers, mini mac and cheese balls, spicy chicken wings with blue cheese sauce. Ticket price includes a complimentary mug of East Coast mulled wine on arrival and cheesy deliciousness aplenty throughout the afternoon (hot cheese snacks are included in your ticket price).
