Mulloon Creek Catchment Mapping Workshop
Description
Help shape the future landscape health of the Mulloon Creek catchment!
Want to participate in shaping the health of the Mulloon Creek catchment through the TIMME (Training Implementation, Mentoring Monitoring and Evaluation) project?
Want to reduce erosion, increase biodiversity and improve drought tolerance across paddocks and waterways?
Wish to be part of the Community of Practice focusing on landscape health?
Join Mulloon's Andrew Moriarty, Erin Healy and Sharni Pike for a hands-on 1 day catchment mapping event to set up the TIMME Mulloon Creek site by exploring the issues in this catchment and workshopping best practice interventions that will set the future direction for landscape health in this area.
Explore how water shapes landscape function and how to catch water and restore landscapes for your property and your catchment.
Learn how to apply simple strategies to improve productivity and drought resilience. Optimise water cycling and landscape function.
Through activities that blend scientific principles and practical skills, you will learn about:
• The TIMME project and how it is using systems thinking to help build resilient landscapes and natural capital at scale.
• How to identify and prioritise issues in your catchment and make real changes to the way water influences viability.
Inviting all land managers and land stewards in the Mulloon Creek Catchment. Explore a range of strategies including natural structures that can optimise a farm's water cycle and improve landscape function.
This grassroots project is taking a systems approach to building resilient communities, landscapes and natural capital at scale through delivery of field days, training, mentoring, demonstration sites and subsidised on-ground work for landholders.
COST: Free. Morning tea and lunch provided each day - please provide any dietary requirements.
