Multicultural Film Festival Premiere 2026
Description
Join us for the premiere of the Victorian Multicultural Commission’s Multicultural Film Festival (MFF), an annual celebration featuring powerful stories of resilience, hope and cultural identity.
Launching during Refugee Week, the MFF serves as a vital platform to amplify the diverse voices that enrich our state. Delivered by the VMC in partnership with Swinburne University and SBS, the festival showcases stories from filmmakers of all backgrounds, including emerging creatives, reflecting the richness of multiculturalism.
The evening will commence with a networking function with catering in the Lightwell foyer prior to a screening and an awards ceremony in Cinema 1.
For our limited public ticket sales which will open in late May, please note the concession prices are eligible for students, seniors, asylum seekers, Health Care and Carer Card holders.
Screening is recommended for MA 15+. Seats in the cinema will not be allocated. Non-alcoholic drinks will be available complimentary during the networking event. All guests will receive popcorn and a drink in the cinema. We look forward to celebrating with you!
