Multiday Hiking Information Session
Event description
Have you ever wanted to go Multiday hiking and don't have any idea of where to start?
Have you already been Multiday hiking and have had a bad experience due to carrying a pack that is weighing you down?
Have you ever wanted to go Multiday hiking but have no one to go with?
Are you a Multiday hiker, and just can't get enough?
Then this is the place for you!
Let me share my experience with you. I have nailed the art of Multiday hiking making it both comfortable and enjoyable. The most common mistakes I see people making are carrying way too much stuff, wearing ill fitting shoes and eating terrible food.
I have been Multiday hiking since I was a teen, I have made many mistakes but after a debilitating back injury, I thought my hiking days were over. This made me totally rethink how I adventured. I knew that I would be unable to carry much weight and this led me to the most awesome growth.
For the past 2 years, I have hiked the Larapinta Trail, (250km), Cape to Cape Track,(135km), The Stirling Range Ridge walk, (28km extreme), and The HIghland Way,(155km) with a 32l pack, base weight of 3kg. I cook and dehydrate all my own food and am always warm and comfortable. I will share my planning, equipment, and packing list with you.
So come along and join me. I will take you through my whole process from planning, booking, choosing equipment, packing, and making delicious meals. Ask me any questions, make connections with like-minded people, and let us all motivate one another to get outside into the environment.
