Mum & Tweens Bonding thro' Flowers Workshop
Description
Put on your creative hats and get ready to play with flowers together — no prior experience needed!
This relaxed, hands-on workshop is designed for mums and tweens (9 - 12 yr) to slow down, connect, and create side by side. If you’ve ever been curious about flower arranging but didn’t know where to start, this is a gentle and joyful introduction. Using fresh blooms from the Flemington Flower Market, you’ll be guided step by step to create a beautiful hand-tied bouquet to take home.
Flowers speak a language beyond words — they express love, appreciation, celebration, and care. Dr Bibiana Chan will share her passion for floral creativity, along with the wellbeing benefits of pausing, being present, and reconnecting with nature and with each other.
With simple techniques and plenty of encouragement, both mums and tweens will gain confidence to create with joy and imagination. By the end of the session, each pair will complete two meaningful bouquets — one to keep and one to Petal-it-Forward as a small act of kindness.
This workshop is generously supported by Bendigo Community Bank Lindfield and the Rotary Club of Ku-Ring-Gai as part of their commitment to community wellbeing. To secure your booking, each participating family contributes a small fee of $30–$35. In the spirit of extending creativity and bonding beyond the session, every family will also receive a Succulent Terrarium DIY Kit (RRP $48) to take home — an invitation to continue creating, connecting, and nurturing wellbeing together.
