Mum Choir
Event description
This is Mums Group with a Difference.
No auditions. No experience needed.
Just mums together raising their voices to stop Family and Domestic Violence.
Join us in showing our support for victims of Family and Domestic Violence through Mum Choir, meeting every second Friday afternoon in Coronation Hall, Mascot.
There's so much in the world that's out of our control. But together, we can lift our voices with songs that offer hope.
This is a space for new mums to gather (with your little one or without).
It doesn't matter what you sound like when you sing. All mums are welcome.
Here's a sample setlist (it will vary each session):Â
- We start by shaking off our sillies with The Meatball Song or The Chicken Dance.
- The second set may include the songs Stop, Stand By Me, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Tiny Dancer, Roar and I Am Woman.
- We will also provide children’s activities such as Duplo, books, a ball bit, and mats in the middle of the choir circle.
- If you'd like to invite a friend along, the free booking link is here.
Mum Choir is a local movement for mums and their little ones. It is run by South Eastern Community Connect, a non-profit that's actively working to alleviate the problems associated with food insecurity, domestic violence, and loneliness.Â
