Muscle Anatomy Revision: Origin & Insertions of the Lower & Upper Body
In this practical workshop we will cover some of the important bony landmarks, origin, insertion, and actions of upper body and lower body muscles. Over 2 days we will apply multiple learning styles to optimise knowledge acquisition for all involved.
The Upper Body - Muscle’s origin and insertion covered:
- Biceps and triceps
- Brachialis and brachioradialis
- Latissimus dorsi, pectoral major and deltoid
- Teres minor, teres major, infraspinatus, supraspinatus, and subscapularis
The Lower Body - Muscle’s origin and insertion covered:
- Gastrocnemius and soleus
- Peronei muscles
- Tibialis anterior and posterior
- Quadriceps and hamstrings
- Hip adductors
- Gluteus maximus and tensor fascia latae (TFL)
- Gluteus medius and mininus
Rafael Bucater
Rafael’s areas of expertise include musculoskeletal massage therapy, deep tissue and remedial massage, postural and biomechanical assessment.
He has a bachelor’s degree in physical education, post-degree in exercise physiology overseas, diploma of fitness, sports, and remedial massage, in Australia.
Rafael currently lectures at the Australian Institute of Fitness, Adelaide campus on fitness and massage courses for the last 5 years.
Rafael Bucater has presented at the 2019 South Australian Sports Medicine FAST conference to sports trainer on sports massage techniques and self-care techniques and offers in services and tutorials to new therapists.
Cancellation: If it is deemed that a seminar is not viable, it may be postponed or cancelled by ATMS.
