Mushroom growing workshop with Tamara Griffiths

My King Stropharia mushroom patches have just had a spring flush. They are an easy to grow garden mushroom.

I have developed a strain of King Stropharia (Ducky Strain) that grows on pine shavings, strawbales, eucalyptus woodchips and bush mulch.

This means we don't need to source and purchase expensive hardwood chips!

Over 7 years I have formed a relationship with this fantastic fungi. I have experimented with growing mycelium and ways to produce delicious and large mushrooms.

Tamara Griffiths is an experienced and passionate permaculture educator and was owner of Forestedge Permaculture Nursery in Kallista for over 5 years.

She loves teaching about King Stropharia, and has been a guest at mushroom festivals.

This event is $50 and includes King Stropharia mycelium to take home.

Accessibility

The workshop will be held in the beautiful back field at Wild Wren Farm. It is walk in access only, down the hill and across the creek.

Safety and what to bring

Please wear suitable walking shoes, bring a water bottle and dress for the weather, as this is an outdoor event. Please ensure that dogs and other pets are left at home.
