Event description

This one-day mushroom, pruning & grafting workshop is part of a series of practical sessions linked to the Matakana Modular PDC presented by Trish Allen and Guenther Andraschko. Anyone is welcome to attend the Practical Workshop days to gain hands-on skills related to permaculture practices.

In this one-day practical workshop, we’ll be covering the growing of different mushroom species on various growing mediums and inoculating logs.  If you would like to take an inoculated log home, bring $20 to cover the cost of the log and spores.

We’ll also be covering pruning of various types of fruit trees such as apple, feijoa, pear, oranges, fig, and many more!

Lastly, the basics of grafting will be covered.

Bring wet weather gear if the weather looks dodgy!  Also bring secateurs, Stanley, or grafting knife. Battery drill & 9.5mm drillbit if you have one, otherwise, don't worry.

For bookings & enquiries please contact: PDCMatakana@gmail.com

Cost $110 per person.
