It is so important to know where your food has come from and what is in it. This 2.5 hrs immersive workshop includes learning the basics of growing oyster mushrooms sustainably at home and why they are a such a wholesome addition to your kitchen, diet and garden. You will learn: Benefits of low tech cultivation, the healing properties of the Oyster mushroom, take a tour of our farm as well as the permaculture garden where you will see how we re-use the mushroom mulch to continuously improve the soil health.  You will also make your own take home grow kit and learn how to set up a simple and inexpensive system at home. The workshop is hands on, you will learn how and when to pick mushrooms to preserve the best quality. We will also discuss recipes and do lots of tastings together. We will enjoy a lovely tasting plate together fresh from the garden. You will receive: -Equipment to make one complimentary grow kit - substrate, spawn, bucket, gloves -Light lunch - Mushrooms, salad, freshly baked bread -Tea, Coffee and herbals included and sweet treat. This is a great group activity, our mission is that you are successful and you can begin growing more mushrooms at home and reap all the health and nutritional benefits. This workshop is great for school kids, adults and families.
