Music and ME: Music Therapy for expecting, new and seasoned Mums
Event description
Look Who's Talking is thrilled to be expanding into the perinatal space, partnering with women throughout their parenting journey to connect, explore and share music. Our pilot program has been thoughtfully created by our passionate team of Music Therapists, Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapists, in consultation with early parenting support professionals. Facilitated by one of our Registered Music Therapists, the program aims to offer a warm and accessible therapeutic space that complements existing perinatal and mental health services through evidence-based intervention.
We will be collecting feedback and outcomes for this group as we are passionate about collaborating with our community to design programs that work for you and your needs!
In each session, we will explore a range of hands on music-based therapeutic methods to address your health and wellbeing goals. We will also facilitate supportive discussion and sharing around the transitional changes of becoming a Mum and how we can utilise music as a supportive resource. In the last 15minutes we will have the opportunity to connect over a cuppa and take in the beautiful surrounds at Tawa Yoga studio!
