Alice Terry sounds like she's had three husbands and killed them all.

Finding early success performing at rural festivals like Narooma Blues, Thredbo Blues and Moruya Jazz Festivals - at which she held her own with the vocal veterans in the game. It took ten years between those early shows and the release of her debut album. Terry's debut single Emotion, released July 2018, went to number one on the iTunes blues charts within hours. The sold-out launches that followed proved why Terry has been nicknamed 'Sydney's First Lady of Blues'.

Terry's debut album The Fear of... stunned audiences with its lyrical wit, depth of heart, and timeless musicality. It peaked at number 3 on the iTunes blues charts though the album itself cannot be categorised as blues. She sits somewhere between the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Bonnie Raitt, Better Midler, and the timeless jazz balladeers. Her spirited performances and clever writing draw die-hard fans that never leave.

Many lifers have found Alice Terry whilst she was supporting or performing with an impressive cohort of both local and international headliners. With Allen Stone; James Morrison; Beth Hart; St Paul & the Broken Bones; Thirsty Merc; Matt Corby; and The Waifs, and festival appearances at: Sydney Festival Main Stage; Woodford Folk; Narooma Blues and Rockabilly; and Thredbo Blues Festivals.

She spent most of 2019 touring Australia and New Zealand as a backing vocalist for Matt Corby, including performances at Splendour in the Grass, Party in the Paddock, and Falls Festival to name a few and toured New Zealand with Ben Harper in January 2020 before Covid ruined the fun.

Making waves on the Aussie music scene is South Coast NSW songwriter Val Moogz, with their distinctive blend of soul, folk, and indie rock. Blending lyrical depth with smooth grooves and timeless songwriting, Val Moogz crafts songs that feel like a hug from your best mate.

Since launching in 2021, Val Moogz has steadily built momentum across the East Coast. With standout performances at Cobargo Folk Festival 2025, Milton Folk, Jazz & Blues Festival 2025, Culburra Beach Festival 2025, and most recently Wanderer Festival 2025, they’ve earned a reputation for delivering engaging, groove-driven sets that connect easily with and move audiences in all the ways. They’ve supported major acts including The Whitlams, Alex Lloyd, Kingswood, and Ben Lee, and have featured in live sessions for ABC Radio.

The release of Oh Beautiful (June 2025) marked the beginning of a new creative era for Val Moogz, launching a series of singles that showcase their evolving sound and growing depth as a songwriter. In October 2025, they released Ride Round the Sun, including live audio and video captured at Four Winds in Bermagui, NSW. The track is the first from a four-part EP waterfall release and was launched alongside their Wanderer Festival performance. Earlier singles “Gypsy,” “The Sea,” and “With You” have been supported by local radio and independent touring, including a 2022 Australian East Coast launch tour and 2023/2024 North Coast runs.

Val Moogz began performing as a teenager in Sydney under their birth name, Hannah Matysek. A graduate of the Talent Development Project, they’ve recorded with Sony Music, and shared stages with some of Australia’s most respected artists. With a growing catalogue and strong live credentials, Val Moogz is quickly emerging as a compelling voice in Australia’s contemporary folk, soul, and indie rock scene.
