Music For Max - Westside

Music for Max is an annual fundraising gig organised in collaboration with Artists for Kids Culture. This year we’re bringing it back to the West for a festive season mini-fest. In celebration of our loved and much missed friend Max Lee-Ack, all proceeds go directly to supporting young people across Melbourne to access music lessons and purchase instruments. Come for the music, stay for the sweet raffle prizes!

Mid Evening: The sweet homebrew project of a devoted cat-dad, Mid-Evening, curates a melting blend of bedroom-pop and alt-rock that explores the conflicting worlds of sincere enthusiasm and obstructive reality. It’s sonically dreamy, other times groovy, and packed with melodies grounded in the world of growth, ageing, and newfound responsibility.

Milk After Sex: Loved by the people loathed by musicians, Milk After Sex are a punk band from the western suburbs of Melbourne. After their Debut E.P. last year ‘footscray road open day’ M.A.S have been busy writing more songs to confuse, critique and excite the masses. Come for the saxophone stay for the drum machine.

Resenter: A four-piece band from Melbourne crafting a heavy blend of shoegaze, slowcore, and emo. Known for their dense wall of sound, melancholic textures, and intertwining guitar lines, their songs capture states altered by memory, loss and melancholy
