Music in the Upper House
Description
Music in the Upper House returns this September following the smashingly successful 2025 Opera in the Upper House. Don't miss your chance to experience Australia's premier musical performance staged in a former parliamentary chamber.
Featuring exceptional vocalists accompanied by an instrumental trio, this unique performance blends opera, classical favourites and contemporary works. From Beethoven to The Beatles, each carefully curated piece is chosen to complement the grandeur and history of the setting.
Set within Queensland's historic Upper House, this one-night-only event combines music, heritage and purpose. Beneath glittering Waterford chandeliers and 22-carat gold-leaf ceilings, experience a captivating new production by Viva La Musica, featuring rising stars of Australian music and the vibrant Viva La Musica Voices Program.
Presented by the Queensland Former Parliamentary Members' Association, this exclusive evening supports Drug ARM's Brisbane Street Outreach Services and celebrates timeless themes of romance, betrayal and politics in a chamber where politics once ruled.
Whether you're a seasoned music lover, a curious newcomer, or simply seeking a rare cultural experience with heart, this is a night not to be missed.
