With over a decade of experience and approximately 343 music videos directed since 2010, Paul will share the knowledge, lessons and behind-the-scenes experiences he has gathered throughout his career.

Together, we’ll follow the journey of a music video through every stage:

Idea & Creation - turning a song into images, characters, colours and concepts.

Script & Storyboard - transforming ideas into a visual plan.

Pre-Production - breaking down the script, planning the crew, locations, casting and equipment.

Shooting - understanding the different roles on set, from directing and producing to art direction.

Cinematography - exploring how light, shadow and visual choices create the mood of a scene.

Post-Production - editing, colour grading, titles and visual effects to bring everything together.

This is a hands-on look at the realities of music video production, including the creative decisions, practical challenges and unexpected problems that come built in.

About Paul Domingos

Paul Domingos is a Brazilian screenwriter, director, and cinematographer specialising in music videos.

Throughout his career, Paul has directed music videos for some of Brazil's biggest artists and bands, including Raimundos, Maneva, Onze:20, Strike, Restart, Projota and Pollo, among many others. At one point, he directed an impressive 52 music videos in just two years.

In 2012, Paul won the VMB Award for "Hit of the Year" for Restart's music video Menina Estranha. He was also behind one of the early viral hits of the Brazilian internet, Não Trocaria um Sorvete de Flocos por Você, by Soulstripper, and directed Vagalumes by Pollo, which became the most-watched Brazilian music video of 2013.

His work extends beyond music videos. In advertising, Paul won a Bronze Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in the Web category for a campaign directed for DM9, as well as a Grand Prix in Argentina for the same work. He has also directed campaigns and commercial productions for brands including Danoninho, Cia. Athletica, MTV and Skol Sensation.

In film, Paul worked as a camera operator on the Spanish short film The Prisoner's Dilemma and as Director of Photography on the feature film The Symphony of a Man Alone, directed by award-winning filmmaker Cristiano Burlan.

With experience across music, advertising and cinema, Paul brings a broad understanding of visual storytelling and the complete filmmaking process to his work.
