Musical Menagerie - Jake Kīanō Skinner

Welcome to the first Musical Menagerie, a series of intimate performer showcases taking place at Exchange Christchurch - XCHC, and hosted by Joss Doge (The Voidwalker). To set the bar high for our first show, we'll be featuring Jake Kīanō Skinner with the sounds of Aotearoa and beyond!
Jake's passion and skill in playing indigenous world music has spread his name far and wide across the plains of Ōtautahi. Through a combination of acoustic guitar looping, Taonga Pūoro (Traditional Māori instruments), native american flutes and didgeridoo, Jake weaves his sounds into cultural soundscapes to take you on a journey of inner healing.

 These sessions give the performers of our XCHC community an opportunity to get closer to their audience than ever before; conversation and storytelling is encouraged as are original works.
