Musicfest 2021 - EMERALD HUB

The Hills are alive with community music!
Our Emerald Hub will gather in the state of art teaching space of Emerald Primary School, hosted by community music teacher and leader Dan Maceoin.
Local leaders will facilitate a day of workshops for all levels of music-making experience. Our exciting program spans a range of styles and traditions: soulful harmonies, latin rhythms, folk tunes & popular songs – with arrangements to suit all instruments and voices.
With CMVic helpers on hand, we will Zoom-in leaders from across the state including Kavisha Mazzella, Jen Hawley, Catherine Threlfall, Win Moser, Will Viran.
We are delighted to have Maylene Slater-Burns, proud Kamilaroi, Wiradjuri, Yuin, Worimi, Ngunnawal, Gugu Djungan, Nywaigi, Gangalidda and Garawa woman lead the Acknowledgement of Country and perform a song.
And, we’ll end the day joining our Musicfest hubs in Mildura and Ballan in a celebration concert, MC’d by community music legends Lyndal and Strat and streamed right across Victoria!
It's going to be a truly statewide community music camp - we can’t wait to see you there!
