    Event description

"Beyond the Score: Join Our Musicianship Class and Dive into a World Where Music Theory and Practice Converge - Perfect for Students (Ages 11-16)!"

In our Musicianship class, students go beyond merely playing an instrument. It serves as the crucial link, guiding them from simply pressing keys or strumming strings to truly understanding the art of making music. It's not just about hitting the right notes; it's about grasping the language of music.

This class will cover everything from the building blocks of music to how to play and create your own music.

    Here's what you'll learn:

    • How music works: We'll break down the different parts of music, like chords and melodies, and how they fit together.
    • Recognise music by ear: Train your ear to pick out different sounds and patterns in music, like intervals and chords.
    • Explore different types of music: Discover new composers and musical styles from all over the world.

Musical Progress in Fast Forward: Musicianship isn't just a side note; it's the key to accelerating progress on their instrument. If they've been playing at the level of AMEB 4 (or have around 4 years of experience) and aged 11-16yo this class is tailor-made for them!
