Muslim Healthcare Students Conference QLD 2026

Join Muslim healthcare students from across Queensland for a hands-on day of clinical skills, networking and Islamic healthcare discussions.

Attendees will rotate through interactive practical stations, including:

  • 🪡 Suturing: Practise basic suturing, knot tying, instrument handling and sterile technique.

  • 🚑 Emergency Medicine & OSCE: Work through clinical scenarios involving trauma assessment, patient deterioration, history taking and clinical communication.

  • 🦷 Dentistry: Get hands-on with dental techniques including impression taking, composite placement, rubber dam demonstrations and digital scanning.

  • 🫀 Anatomy & Radiology: Explore anatomical models, radiographs, digital scans and interactive diagnostic cases.

  • 🌙 Islamic Healthcare: Discuss topics including prayer in the workplace, working during Ramadan, maintaining Islamic identity, ethics and professionalism in healthcare.

Enjoy a fully catered lunch, Dhuhr prayer in congregation, networking opportunities, sponsor giveaways and more throughout the day.

FAQs

  • Who can attend?

    The conference is open to Muslim and non-Muslim students across Queensland studying medicine, dentistry, oral health, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, paramedicine and other healthcare disciplines. High school students interested in healthcare are also welcome.

  • Do I need to be studying healthcare to attend?

    No! Students considering a career in healthcare are welcome to attend.

  • Do I need prior clinical experience?

    Not at all. The stations are designed to be accessible to students at different stages of their studies.

  • How do the station rotations work?

    Attendees will select their preferred stations during ticket registration and participate in three rotations throughout the day. Places at individual stations may be limited. Each station lasts for 1 hour.

  • Will food be provided?

    Yes! A fully catered lunch will be provided. Dietary requirements can be indicated when purchasing your ticket.

  • Will there be a prayer space?

    Yes. A dedicated prayer space will be available, with Dhuhr prayer in congregation taking place during the lunch break.

  • Will I receive a certificate?

    Yes. Attendees will receive a digital certificate of attendance following the event.

  • Do I need to bring a pen and paper?

    Yes! Please bring a pen and paper, or an iPad/tablet if you prefer, as some stations may involve taking notes or working through clinical cases.
