MUSUBI Japanese Tea Ceremony
Description
Japanese Tea Ceremony with Margaret Price
As part of MUSUBI—Threads Through Time, join tea master Margaret Price for an intimate Japanese tea ceremony in the Glasshouse at Ground at Currumbin.
Margaret is the founder of Japanese Tea Encounters on Tamborine Mountain. She has been a Japanese tea ceremony practitioner for over 50 years, spending 23 of those years working in Japan as a journalist and immersing herself in traditional culture. On returning to Australia she ran a green tea house and gallery, and today she's recognised for her work in teaching and promoting Chado, the Japanese Way of Tea.
In this ceremony, Margaret will offer a moment to savour the present with a tantalising taste of the Japanese cultural aspects of Chado, as well as its more universal and spiritual aspects.
