Meet Meg Morris. But you can call her Moo.
At 22, Meg finds herself stumbling through yet another job interview. As her confidence falters, we are transported back to 2007, when she was seven years old. From that moment, age by age and stage by stage, we watch Moo grow up and into her twenties.
Joy, curiosity, confusion, heartbreak, and hope shape Meg’s path into adulthood.
The people she meets.
The friendships she forms.
The challenges she faces.
The many moments that inform who she becomes.

Honest and heartfelt, My Name is Moo is a bold solo show exploring the journey of growing up.
From New York-trained actor and playwright, Emma Cushing, My Name is Moo is a piece dedicated to the process of becoming. Emma studied Drama at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts – consistently ranked as one of the best drama schools in the world. After completing her degree, she worked in the Broadway producing space. Emma recently moved back to New Zealand and is delighted to be premiering My Name is Moo where her love of theatre began.
Co-director Isabelle Hoskyn is a film and theatre practitioner based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, originally from Washington, D.C. A University of Auckland graduate, she works across screen and stage as a producer, director, and lighting designer. She is passionate about telling complex, thoughtful stories that explore aspects of the female experience.
