My Story Begins... is a new adventure for Mansfield, an open invitation for women to find their voice again, to feel the joy of speaking aloud amongst friends, to experience the satisfaction of being heard and knowing the value of listening and bearing witness to another's story.
The concept is simple
a topic to inspire, which is broad and inviting
a time limit for your story of 6 to 10 minutes
share your own true story, spoken without notes: commencing with the words My story begins ...
For August our theme is LANDMARKS
Prepare a story about the places and points that have plotted your course. Meeting under the clocks at Flinders Street, seeing the Big Banana, or returning to your ancestral home. Maybe you yearn to return to one very special place or choose to avoid another for all eternity. Love on the ski lift at Mount Buller or that famous family spot. Life is often about turning left and we would love to hear the story of your landmark.
